Associate Consultant supporting The Alliance for the Amazon and Beyond

Fixed term 1 October 2025 – 30 April 2026 (potential extension until the end of 2026), 4 days per week, £1,920 per month (average based on required days). Applicant must be Portuguese-speaking with a good knowledge of Brazil. 

We’re looking for a UK-based consultant to support The Alliance for the Amazon and Beyond, hosted by The Gaia Foundation.

The Alliance for the Amazon and Beyond is a discrete network of individuals and organisations engaged in global socio-environmental justice, focusing on strengthening Indigenous Peoples and Traditional Communities in Brazil.

As an Associate Consultant, you will play a significant role in promoting knowledge exchange between organisations engaging with biocultural diversity in the UK, Europe, the US, and Brazil, as well as advocating for the rights and self-determination of Indigenous Peoples and Traditional Communities.

This role requires excellent people skills and communication of all forms in both English and Brazilian Portuguese. The Associate will be comfortable co-convening both high-level and grassroots group conversations, as well as writing summaries and newsletters. 

This is a home-based role with occasional travel required, particularly into London.

Finance Assistant

20 hours per week (4 days), £27,000 – £28,000 FTE (depending on experience), home-based/remote.

If you are motivated by a sense of purpose, care deeply for our planet and wild kin, and have a background in financial administration and bookkeeping, you might be the right candidate for our Finance Assistant role.

For almost 40 years, The Gaia Foundation has been accompanying Earth’s best custodians in reviving biocultural diversity. Through high-standard bookkeeping and budget assistance, the Finance Assistant will support the smooth running of our small but busy team’s day-to-day operations.

We are looking for someone with a head for numbers and a passion for spreadsheets who wants to use their skills to support others working on ecological, social, and climate justice issues. Internships

We are currently looking for an intern to support the Seed Sovereignty Programme UK & Ireland. This is a part time, unpaid internship opportunity involving events logistics and support, research and communications.
